To serve this expanded customer base, SANDAG is seeking partnerships with retail locations where potential customers can easily pick up a transponder. As SANDAG works to grow the FasTrak program and develop new facilities, the number of accounts is expected to grow dramatically. The current SANDAG FasTrak customer base includes more than 70,000 accounts. Nearly all of the Walgreens stores in San Francisco and Oakland sell the passes. As of March 2015, the FasTrak website has an interactive map that shows the addresses of stores that sell passes. Many Walgreens, Safeway and Costco locations in the San Francisco Bay Area sell the passes. SANDAG is seeking proposals from qualified retailers to sell FasTrak ® transponders valid for use on Express Lanes, such as those on Interstate 15, and toll facilities, like the South Bay Expressway. The California FasTrak pass can be purchased by mail, online at the FasTrak website, or at a number of retail locations throughout the state.
